Featured Vocalist
Le Perez has her musical roots in gospel and blues. After focusing on family and career, she now returns to her first love: singing. Le has trained at the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley and sings in the Oakland Interfaith Community Choir. Her powerful vocal style is influenced by Linda Hopkins, Carmen McCrae and Aretha Franklin, among others.

Ken Fukui (Soprano, Alto, Tenor Sax, Clarinet, Flute, Midi-Wind Controller) While growing up in the bay area, Ken has playing in many local jazz bands before attending UCLA and studying under Gary Gray (Principal Clarinetist, LA Chamber Orchestra) and Don Raffel (1st Call LA Studio Musician).  During Ken’s musical journey, he has played with many well-known musicians, including Jon Ward (Bass, Cleo Laine and Stan Kenton), Tom Politzer (Saxophone, Tower of Power), Chris Braymen (Trombone, Maynard Ferguson), Gregg Hall (LA Freelance Jazz Musician) and Dann Zinn (Jazz Recording Artist).
Mark Ziegenfuss (Guitar & Vocal) Mark has also played music professionally for over twenty years. During his extensive touring, Mark has performed in all 50 states. He has years of studio, film, TV and recording experience and is comfortable playing everything from bebop to western swing.
Bill Thompson (Piano) Bill is the youngest member of Seascape Sounds. Bill studied music in Los Angeles, and after returning to the Bay Area, has found a welcome home as pianist in several local big bands, such as the Daddios, and in various jazz combos. Bill’s keyboard finesse is a key ingredient in Seascape Sounds' musical mélange.
Preston Carter (Acoustic & Electric Bass) Preston took up the bass in the 60's folk era, played in rock bands in college, and, after moving to the Bay Area in 1981, got involved in the jazz scene through Terry Summa's stage bands at Foothill College. Preston plays both electric and acoustic bass, allowing him to fit in with many musical styles, including jazz and pop, symphony orchestras, and musical theater.
Kevin McNair (Drums, Percussion) Kevin is a retired high school teacher who spends his time playing a variety of musical genres — rock, blues, latin, big band and, especially, jazz! Kevin became a professional drummer after high school and toured the Northwest, Canada, Alaska and Japan before entering the teaching profession. Even while living the busy life of a teacher, he persevered with his love of the drums as he played gigs in and around the Bay Area. Kevin is now very excited to be a member of Seascape Sounds because of the high level of musicianship and the group’s sensitivity to a variety of musical styles.
